The purpose of the Fee-Based Annuity Working Group is to focus on regulatory and marketplace developments impacting fee-based annuities.  The initial focus of the Working Group will be to discuss whether it would be worthwhile to reach out to FINRA to seek regulatory relief for variable annuity distributors who make available a fee-based annuity to an entity that is only registered as an investment adviser (and not a broker-dealer).
